She is Growing up!

The little girl in the above photo came to me as I was typing the other night and had the following conversation with me

Lexie: Mom, I need the computer

Me: You can play webkins when I'm done blogging

Lexie: But I need it now

Me: You can play your math games later

Lexie: Mom!!!! I need it now!

Me: Why?

Lexie: I have to type a paper!

Me: stunned silence

Lexie: so can I get on the computer???

After I finally came out of shock I handed the computer over to her so she could type her 1st required paper!! My little girl is growing up!!! I have to be honest, it terrifies me!

Just say No!

Abby's school recently held a special contest for their "Just say No to Drugs!" week. Everyday they had a theme to dress up for and the class who had the most kids dressed up would win a prize. It was fun except that Abby kept coming home saying one little girl in her class always had the best dress up costume. Nate kept assuring her that the other little girls mom is a stay at home mom so she has more time to put stuff together but I still wanted Abby to have the better"dress up". Here are two of the dress up days photos.

I did okay with the sports team dress up. Abby said they tied. She didn't have any sports clothes so she rocked my Raiders shirt. She kept asking why I was putting makeup on her face. I told her to just go with it. She kept smiling in her pictures and I told her Raiders don't smile so this is her scary face.......

This day I kicked butt! Abby came home super excited saying her hair was the best in the class. It was crazy hair day so we put tons of pony tails and sprayed her hair purple. I think I was more excited then Abby that her hair was the best!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! We had a lot of fun going out tonight and I have to say my feet are killing me! The girls and I went out trick or treating with the neighbors while Nate and the dogs stayed home and took care of the house. I was shocked with how many trick or treaters were out in our neighborhood. It is the biggest in the town so a lot of people come here.

Mt Shasta part 2- Pumpkin Train

Nate and I were so excited to take the girls on the pumpkin train. It is so beautiful up in Mt Shasta this time of year. Plus it is fun to do something different than the traditional pumpkin patch trip!

It was so beautiful!

The whole family! Nate was so excited to get to wear the hat.....

They were told they could only pick pumpkins they could carry...

Lexie has hers!

Success!

New posts

I have been so busy I haven't had time to update my blog but I finally got around to it last night. I tried to go in date order so you will have to go back to August to see some of the pictures. I posted the girls 1st day of school pictures among others. Enjoy!

Mt Shasta part 1

A couple weeks ago we headed up to Mt Shasta to take the girls on a fun excursion. There is a pumpkin train there every year that takes you up into the mountains to pick your pumpkins. Lexie and I have been before and it is a lot of fun so I wanted to take Nate and the girls. We had some time to kill before the train so we decided to take the girls to the fish hatchery. It is always a lot of fun to check out and feed the fishes.

The mountain in all its glory

We were throwing little handfuls of food to the fish when this guy in a truck came through and started shooting out tons of fish. The fish went crazy! They were practically throwing themselves out of the water to get to the food!

There was a random orange fish there. I am not sure what was going on with him!

Pioneer Lexie

This year in school Lexie is studying the great state of California. They do a few field trips and on those trips they dress up like pioneers. She has been having so much fun with it. I think she really likes it because she and her girlfriends are really into Little House on the Prairie right now.
